15/05/2010 - the Action against Climate Change World Day

Zodiac Family Hotel in Samokov (PAN Parks Certified Business Partner) is organizing an environmental initiative for biodiversity conservation and cleaning the mountains from tourist waste. Our slogan is: Let's Preserve the Wilderness for the Generations. Coming after us!

Despite the rain and that it was a working Saturday, a day few but stubborn natural-lovers were able to clean the eco-path Beli Iskar. We want to thank the park guards for cooperation and the wonderful tea which was very warming. As you will see from the pictures, garbage was not much, but was sufficient to remind us that there are still people who leave their garbage everywhere and we must not stay indifferent.

We hope that more people will help us to clean up and less are those who will pollute!

We invite all our friends and wildlife lovers to join us in the eco-crusade in Rila National Park on 15 May - the Action against Climate Change World Day. You will enjoy the beauty of our beloved mountains and help us collect the garbage from the Beli Iskar Eco-trail.

/ We hope you will not find a lot of it! /

There will be bags and gloves for all participants. We shell offer aromatic herb tea and home made cake in the restaurant of our hotel after the action. Those who would like to spend the night here will get a special discount - 5 leva per bed per night.
